• The Abrasion Tester for Natural Stones and Concrete Tiles is used to evaluate the abrasion resistance of natural stones and concrete tiles under standardized conditions.
• The test involves subjecting the specimen's surface to abrasive action using a rotating disc and specified abrasive material, simulating real-world wear scenarios.
• The apparatus comprises a wide abrasion disc, a storage hopper for abrasive material, a clamping trolley to hold the specimen, and a counterweight system to apply consistent pressure.
• The abrasion disc, with a diameter of 200 mm and thickness of 70 mm, rotates at 75 revolutions per minute, ensuring uniform abrasion across the specimen surface.
• A mobile clamping trolley, mounted on bearings, is propelled towards the rotating disc by a 14 kgf counterweight, maintaining consistent contact during testing.
• The abrasive material used is white fused alumina (corundum) with a grit size of F80, providing reliable and repeatable test results, which should be ordered separately.
